Nursing Students Intensify in The Philippines

Why Nursing students in the Philippines do increases each year? What is in the degree that makes it stronger in the industry? BSN or Bachelor of Science in Nursing is a very popular course, students needed to finish four years in college to be professional in this field and requires taking an examination to get a license.

As I observed, due to the intensifying number of nurses, there are several who failed to practice their profession. I have many friends that graduated in BSN last year, but still unemployed, others forced to switch to other job to earn money for a living. Those were because hospitals have a huge number of applicants and few have vacancies.

With all the things that needed to be a professional nurse and despite having a hard time finding hospitals to practiced their profession, still their percentage increases in the Philippines, the reasons for these is the increasing of demands outside the country. Sadly, many use local hospitals as their training ground to achieve their goal in a foreign country. As they see better future working abroad.

Why Filipino nurses choose to work with other country than in the Philippines? The top answer is the salary or income. Second top answer would be the desire to migrate. Many look at this as the stepping-stone for them to transfer their respective families to the country where they thought life style is better than living in the Philippines.

When to Say “YES” to the Job Offer

Is the time of recession really over? Is the number of companies who are looking of workforce starting to increase? As I observed, the answer is yes, global economy is slowly recovering at the last quarter of 2009. For that reason, many companies is also starting to hire personnel again and if you are looking for a job right now, then it is best for you to start sending application.

Sending application is not the end of the process it was only a start. When applying, people do consider the company background others do not. As long as the job opening fitted to their experience and skills, regardless of the company background they do start to apply for the position.

If you applied to different companies (let us say four), got interview by them and passed their qualifications, what will you do? Of course, you will start to decide between four companies. What is the right thing to consider when accepting a job offer?

You need to check the company background or status – This is very important when opt to choices. If you think the company is stable enough and cannot easily affected by the recession, then I think that is a big plus to the company.
The salary and benefits – It is necessary for you to know how much will you earn from the job. It is actually the first thing to ask to the employer. Benefit is also important thing to consider. If you are a family man or woman then these two is very much an issue to you.
Working environment – Will you be able to work good with your co-worker. Is your working place accessible from your house? Do you feel comfortable working with them? Those are the questions to consider before accepting a job.

Teaching is something that not easy as to some views. It requires talent, passion and patience. Talent or skills in dealing with students, passion and love to your job and patience as it needed more of your time and understanding with your students.

Others might be interested in becoming a teacher. In the Philippines, this profession needed four years in college and after graduating, they need to take licensure examination to be in a list of professional teachers. Some take a master degree for better opportunities.

A teacher compromises many responsibilities. They job is to assure that they teaches everything that the students needed to learn. The profession is quite interesting and a challenge. Handling the behavior of one’s person is not an easy task, and teachers do deal with various students with different characters. It is interesting as you are going to meet different personalities and a chance to have many acquaintances or friends. It is also a challenge in every day life, for it is a test if you can handle them all.

What are the benefits they get as a teacher? The industry has distinct compensation and benefits plan. There are two types of schools. The private owned and the public one. In the Philippines, teachers want to work in the public schools for the reason that they offer higher salary and many benefits than with private establishments.
