Job searching is one of the hardest times of our life. At first we do not know where and how to start. We are sometimes very cautious to scam.  Job-hunting is not that easy particularly to those who are newly graduates. 1. The newspapers – there are many companies who are placing their ads to the broadsheets, as they considered this as the most effective tools. There are many respondents in newspapers, they believed that many job hunters read and trusted this.
2. Online posting – there are many sites who are offering free advertisements online. Some do collect minimal amount, but majority offer it free. We should be careful with some offer. Do your research; it is not bad to be safe.
3. Television banner ads – Some companies posted their job opening to television.
4. Radio ads – If you have an interest listening to radio, then be more attentive in listening to their advertisements, companies sometimes do announce their employee needs to the radio.

There are many advertisements offering a job. Sometimes we are not aware that they are only cheater. The best thing to do is to research the organization’s background. Check the kind of industry and everything you need to know in one company. Second thing to be alert is when they are asking for some money. In normal situation, those who are offering for local jobs do not solicit for any penny for it is illegal to the Department of labor code.

When times are tough, small business owners face more pressure to pick up the slack and find ways to do more with less. According to a recent survey conducted by online payroll provider SurePayroll, business owners are multi-tasking to address the challenges of the current economy, keep customers happy and keep their businesses running smoothly.

The survey found that 88 percent of small business owners think multi-tasking is now a key component in running a successful business that business owners should embrace.

“Being a business owner, you usually don’t get the option of doing one thing,” says survey respondent Lydia Rivera, Agent and Owner of Allstate Insurance Company in Georgia. “You wear many hats. Whether it’s checking email, correcting someone’s hours, paying bills, answering the phone, running a quote and writing business … I have to do it all with patience and give each task my full attention and accuracy. Somehow I pull it off and it’s become what I am used to doing.”

Indeed, 56 percent of respondents indicated that they often handle three or more tasks simultaneously. SurePayroll attributes the increasing tendency to multi-task to current economic conditions that force businesses to produce the same output levels with fewer resources.

“Business owners we talk with are doing everything they can to weather the storm, and that includes working on more and more projects simultaneously to ensure their businesses stay in top form,” says SurePayroll President Michael Alter. “With job cuts at record highs, like it or not, multi-tasking is essential these days, and business owners must be proficient multi-taskers.”

TalentDrive, the creator of the advanced SaaS sourcing technology, TalentFilterSM, just today released the results from the recent “What Steps Are You Taking to Leverage this Recession” April through June 2009 survey. The economic recovery survey found that 50% of HR Professionals surveyed are actively preparing for the return of hiring and “the other side” of the recession.

When asked what positions HR will be struggling the hardest to fill, 60% claimed Information Technology (IT) talent is anticipated to be the most in-demand, followed by Sales and Operations both at 30%. Although 50% claim to be proactively preparing for the hiring return, TalentDrive when on to ask how confident they are in their department’s readiness to handle the influx of open positions and hiring needs. 50% of the respondents said “yes”, they are prepared for future hiring needs, while the other 50% claimed “maybe”.

The survey went on to ask what areas HR plans to spend the largest portion of its budget, once the recession turns. 100% of those surveyed said they would invest in implementing new marketing tactics to help recruit new talent, while 50% said they would be investing directly in re-hiring full-time employees.

Over 8,000 F1000 Companies and HR Professionals were surveyed. This survey was conducted between April 23, 2009 and June 23, 2009.

In summary, the survey found these key points:

• 50% of HR Professionals are proactively preparing for employment recovery
• 60% anticipate Information Technology (IT) talent to be the most in-demand
• 50% of HR Departments feel confident they are adequately prepared for the influx of hiring; 50% said “maybe”
• 100% of HR Departments plan to invest in implementing new marketing tactics to recruit, while 50% plan to invest directly in re-hiring full time employees
