Excess Filipino Nurses Now a Reality

I remember some months ago, I was analyzing and evaluating the current trend of most people as far as career is concerned. It seems that people today would do well to pursue a career in nursing to which most of the children of my friends are taking. I was observing the increase in demand and came to realize that like everything else, there will be a point of downturn as far as nursing jobs is concerned.
Many say that nursing is a large need. True. But the point in topic here is the fact that demand may always exceed supply. Not mentioned as well is the fact that quality control as far as where nurses are coming from is also to be considered. For the US and the UK, this is apparently the case.
The Philippines is a good resource of nurses. Most of the nurses abroad came from the here. But not everyday is Sunday and while nurses today in the Philippines is abundant, many are jobless.
You may ask, there is an alternative; get a job locally. But the local hospitals and clinics are wiser. In fact many of them are booked with nurses. With that said, is nursing still feasible as a career?
If you are on the verge of choosing a career for yourself, look towards the future. Pursuing a career that is just wise due to monetary considerations is not a good way to plan ahead. Evaluate yourself. Perhaps you are better off following a career path where you believe you can excel and not where others tell you to. Be wiser if you want a secure future.
