Dealing with Impossible Superiors
It is only fitting to see most executives not wanting to have their hands dirty. To them, satisfactory performance is all that counts in business and being under them, you are expected to turn out results no matter what it takes and according to what they want to be produced.
Such is always a dilemma and problem that talented people face. While they would want to perform up to par and over achieve at most times, their initial plans are set aside due to impatience on the part of the executives placed into office. Some would call it a childish and immature way of handling a business. While I would tend to agree, it is just that they are placed in that position where they can have their own silly decision making prowess based on what they see and hear without getting down to the nitty gritty that defines a business separate from other entities.
Of course, the initial perspective would be to see a company earning profits and being among the top players in the industry that it is serving. This is the dream of any entrepreneur but businesses do not go beyond the red overnight. There are investments to be made and business plans to be mapped out. Marketing strategies that will coincide with operations and administration must be placed into the mix as well but without proper education on what these key departments in a company provide will totally be a worthless cause.
Hence, top honchos may not understand the whole business methodology of running an empire. An employee can only show the way. While big bosses may not want to follow the direction a visionary employee may be pertaining to, he can get on the alternative route and just use it as a training ground that he can bring to another company or perhaps charged to experience for his dream business that may become a reality soon.
