With new jobs such as nursing, information technology and call center services becoming rampant in the world today, traditional workers have been thinking of the feasibility of shifting careers midstream in their careers. Apparently, the compensation has something to do with it and for sure, you will see some people taking the “big dip”. This stands for sacrificing in terms of salary since you have to start again at the bottom.

One thing you will note is the important requirement of relevant experience in the field. This is the most important aspect of applying for a job over everything else. Fitting the job description is what companies care about and if you know better, do not even risk applying if you already know you don’t qualify.

But you can be considered for a position though. The thing is, expect a dramatic cut in terms of monthly salary. You are like starting back from scratch. That is the price to pay for making a career-switch which most people are thinking or have done today.
