Are Call Centers Destroying the Value of Education?

If you haven’t heard yet, call centers in the world, particularly in the Philippines and India have only plain requirements; good verbal English and grammar. Not that hard to suit most people right?
Considering that jobs are hard to find these days, this is a welcome opportunity. But if you talk about hiring current students as well, you have to think again. Are call centers destroying the educational future of most students today.
This is not to play bad guy for call centers nor to people who want a fruitful financial outlook. But the thing is, the value of education is deteriorating because of it. Imagine students from colleges deciding to quit their studies to work immediately and earn a living. Is that justifiable?
There is something wrong here if you ask me. Education is still something needed by most people. Besides, have you ever thought when recession would hit these call centers as well?
