Learn360Health Partners with eVideon to Extend Classroom to Hospital Bedside

WOODBURY, N.Y.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Learn360Health,
a division of Learn360 and healthcare’s first single-source digital
content provider of Patient Education, Relaxation, Entertainment and
Pediatric K-12 Education Services, today announces a partnership with
Optimal Solutions’ eVideon
Healthcare
to bring the Classroom to the Hospital. The
partnership will integrate Learn360’s high-quality educational video
content with the eVideon Healthcare interactive patient TV system.
Hospitalized school-aged children will have access to more than 9,300
Learn360 titles through eVideon’s system.

“Education can be critical to the
overall mental health of the family and patient, so having
curriculum-based video content available outside of treatment and
visitation schedules helps bridge that gap.”

Integration of Learn360’s content with the eVideon Healthcare system
removes the time restriction when educational material is available to
patients, allowing students to continue their education at their own
pace. The partnership augments tutor and teacher programs and provides
parents with the ability to monitor their child’s progress. The
Learn360Health content continues to be available to patients following
discharge.

Learn360’s video content is used by more than 37,000 schools throughout
the U.S. and Canada. All titles and resources are correlated to state,
national and provincial curriculum standards, and content is provided by
top educational publishers, such as Encyclopedia Britannica, AE
Television Networks and National Geographic, among others.

“Continuing the education for hospitalized children is difficult and
often overlooked,” said Ed Murphy, Learn360’s vice president of
marketing and business development. “Education can be critical to the
overall mental health of the family and patient, so having
curriculum-based video content available outside of treatment and
visitation schedules helps bridge that gap.”

eVideon Healthcare is an interactive patient TV system that utilizes IP
network technology to deliver a personalized experience to patients.
Using the pillow speaker, eVideon transforms the in-room TV into a
two-way communication tool for hospital staff and patients. The service
provides a sense of control and engagement with enriching content.

“Our company serves two industries – education and healthcare, and we’ve
successfully worked with Learn360 in many schools,” said Jeff Ingle,
founder of Optimal Solutions. “Now, kids and families will benefit from
having its content integrated into our system. It sets the stage for a
fascinating future of close interaction between schools and hospitals.”
