At noon today, Discovery Health passed on to the cable graveyard and the sky, and in its place, Oprah Winfrey Network – OWN - was born. You can read my preview/review of the network’s initial offerings here – but one thing most striking about OWN, at least for now, is how little you’ll see the woman on air. With the exception of the reality show that tracks her syndicated show’s final days – “Season 25: Oprah Behind the Scenes” – there’s not a lot of Oprah Winfrey to see.
What do you make of the new lineup? Is OWN going to become a viewing destination for you? Feel free to sound off – and one more thing: Happy New Year!
